Thoughts
whilst waiting
for
the Cornish clotted cream
to
arrive from Devon...
-
- Now
that we've eaten pasties in
- tea
shops at Penzance,
- lathered
splits with clotted cream
- and
traced our Cornish roots,
- it's
a great time to find out
- who
we Cornish are, and why we
- turned
out the way we have.
- And
by learning about Cornwall's
- festivals,
languages and history,
- we'll
gain a much better understanding
- about
the current state of Kernow,
- and
her future.
- Or
why Kernow has turned out
- the
way she has.

- The
Cornish have played a very positive role
- in
history and have much to be proud of.
- Not
every culture can claim that. In fact, very few.
- Very
few cultures other than the Cornish
- have
earned worldwide respect.
- To
be sure, nothing has ever been given
- to
a Cornish man or woman.
- Too
much is being taken.
"...the
Cornwall tapes."
- Next
time our Cornish children
- ask
about their Motherland,
- we'll
be able to answer them.
